“Christ and His Bride”
In this series of messages, we cover the theme of Jesus developing a relationship of love, obedience and through suffering for His sake believers mature in their walk with Him will advance onward toward a bridal love relationship.
Under-developed believers have not developed a relationship with Jesus, they are ‘babes’ as Paul called them. A little girl does make a bride but a teenager, or young adult woman can now be a bride.
It’s not like ‘bride-ship’ is not for everyone, it’s just that everyone needs to develop into this relationship while on earth.
There are several stages of development in our walk with God as believers similar to how it is in the natural. First there is a conception in our soul/spirit’s heart with the “incorruptible word of God” (the living Gospel) then the embryo or fetus stage develops, (believers) then spiritual childhood, (carnal Christians) then son-ship, (born again into the Kingdom by God’s Spirit) then the friendship stage,(those who are in the know with whom Jesus shares His secrets), then the courtship or bride-ship stage, (becoming more into His image and likeness) then married motherhood (reproducers of His image and glory, birthing others into it.
The final goal is that Father God will someday perform a wedding ceremony in Heaven between Christ Jesus and this ‘bride’ company who on earth allowed their bridegroom to mature them through the moments of His loving and Divine manifested presence as well as through suffering and patience.
Revelation 19:7 GW Let us rejoice, be happy, and give him glory because it’s time for the marriage of the lamb. His bride has made herself ready.
Verse 9 Then the angel said to me, “Write this: ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the lamb’s wedding banquet.'” He also told me, “These are the true words of God.”
The awesomeness of becoming part of the heavenly family…God the Father, Christ The Anointed Word, The Holy Spirit, then the wife by blood marriage to the man Jesus the Christ. One beautiful eternal family of God. This all, is an unthinkable weight of glory and unimaginable experience in Love’s highest realm of ecstasy and honor!
