God’s perspective on calamities
“God’s Perspective on Calamities, Disasters, Tumults” and
“Is God Responsible for Pestilences and Judgments”
This two part series of messages has the purpose focusing on God’s perspective and involvement in all the evils happening around us.
The Bible tell us there will be times of trouble. We definitely are in times of social uprising, racial antagonism, riots, looting, destruction of personal and commercial properties. killing of law enforcing agents and so much violence.
Agitators and terrorists organize to rack havoc, large scale chaos and destruction. Fraudulent elections around the world creates despair and oppression for the masses.
Man made unnatural disasters made to look like natural disasters have plagued our world in the last few decades.
We are living in a world where devastating fires consume millions of acres into ash, many of them if not all, are ignited on purpose by evil people.
Man controlled and engineered weather manipulation creating mega storms that can be directed to areas of interest.
Thousands of miles of underground tunnels everywhere around the world that are manmade and engineered for evil purposes, among them, trafficking of the innocent.
Man induced earthquakes around the world creating devastation and wholesale death has gone on for decades now.
Spraying of harmful chemicals in our skies to pollute the earth, and make humanity sick, the purposeful poisoning of water sources with harmful chemicals, and manipulation of our food chain by genetically modifying seed and inventing artificial food from chemicals and bugs to create serious health issues, obesity and death!
Hidden labs around the world are working overtime to create diseases, viruses, toxic agents killer vaccines and mutations of bugs in order to bring disaster upon humanity.
It definitely seems like the beginning of sorrows the Bible speaks of, yet God is still on the throne, and He is still in charge of everything. By His will are all things and by His power is everything under a “Thus far and no further” control.
It is hard for many people to comprehend that God is in control when things are as they are. We exist in a dispensation of a ‘Cross-less’ gospel where only ‘all-goodness and grace’ abound, while living as an apostate church.
Each century has known its share of troubles, but it seems to be increasing at an alarming rate. If we were not assured that the Lord was in control of all of this, we would all be very perplexed, to say the least.
Jesus said in, Mark 13:8 “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there shall be earthquakes in different places, and there shall be famines and troubles. These things are the beginnings of sorrows.”
Amos 3:6 (From Multiple Translations AMP- NIrV-YLT- MKJV- KJV-)
“Is a trumpet (siren) blown in a city (warning of danger), and the people not be afraid or tremble?) Does: disaster, misfortune, trouble, affliction, mischief, calamity, sorrow, vexation and evil come to a city, unless the Lord has (caused it? – planned it? or has done it? )
verse 9 “Look at the great tumults in the city. Its people are committing many crimes.”
Tumults mean: confusion or uproar: destruction, or trouble.
The good news is, that when believers repent and turn back to God, He also controls the length of time the riots and calamities last, and also muzzles, & squelches them out!
Psalm 65:7 (Passion Translation.) “You muzzle the roar of the mighty seas and the Rage of Mobs with their noisy Riots.”
Judgments have always awakened a need for returning to God. Psalm 107 is a typical description of a nation that both departed from and returned back to the Lord. Disciplines and hardships caused humanity to look to their forgotten God.
