“Ancient Idols In Modern Idolatry”
In this series of messages, a lot is mentioned about how Idolatry is rampant in our modern age, in spite of the misunderstanding over what an Idol is, or how they are worshipped.
Some people think Idols are only objects that people bow down to and worship and although this is true in part, it is not the whole.
Idols can be people…”Avatars”. These Celebrities can be found in many fields like: sports, politics, Hollywood, religion, and much more.
Demon spirits are the real idols and have names and they are powerful and dangerous entities. They are the ones that people throughout history and even to this day, have rendered obedience, service and worship to.
Idols that are being served and worshipped to this day are too many for mention. The few I spoke about in this series are Hemon, Reh-Sha, Moloch, Ashtoreth, Ishtar, Shelisha, Dagon, Hermes, Perazim, Baal gad, Meriba, Osiris, Nehushtan, Zebub, the Beast!
The 8th and last message is a recap of all 7 prior sermons with an added essay of the serpent on the pole that Moses raised up in the wilderness for the healing of the children of Israel who had been bitten by serpents.
