“The Real You”

In this message pastor Miller covers the theme of false identity that many if not all of us pretend to have by wearing masks that portray us to be something we are not.

This message was given with much humor, stories and illustrations and this revealing subject easily found its way into the hearts of the congregation.

As we all know, we live in a world where there are individuals pretending to be another person by wearing AI created real life masks that betray their real identity.

None of us were born with ‘filters’. These were taught to us as life progressed. As a child we just said what we thought without worrying what others might think, but soon enough we were learned to both filter what we said and begin using false identity mask to show only what we wanted people to see or what we wanted them to know about ourselves.

As a child we had no problem being ‘what you see is what you get’. There were no pretend masks or filtered versions of what we needed other to see in us.

Unfortunately this is what many times happens to us as Christians in our relationship with God, yet He sees us as we really are and loves truth, transparency, sincerity, honesty and a ‘no pretense mask’ approach in our walk with Him.
